2008 Winter Wellness Triathlon

  • Annual Events*

*The Winter Wellness Triathlon*

Previous years has seen between 60 and 100 people participating in the event. The event combines classic cross country skiing, running, and then skating to make up the triathlon. The skiing is held on the Murray Ridge Nordic Ski Trails and then the run goes from close to the old Whiskey Jack Restaurant on the North Road to the Fort St. James High School where the skating takes place. We are fortunate this year to have the Provincial Long Track Speed Skating being held the weekend before our event so the speed skating oval will be in great shape.

The event has both a long and short course. The long is composed of a 13km ski, 9km run, and 5km skate and the short course is a 7km ski, 4.5km run, 4.5km run (9km run split in half) and then a 3km skate. People can complete either the long or short course solo or in teams of up to 4 people.

If you are interested in participating in this event contact Shaun Hales @ 996-6888.
