Mayor: Dwayne Lindstrom elected by acclimation

Don Reyden 160 votes
Dan Duncan 156 votes
Kerry Jantz 153 votes
Linda Mowat 122 votes
The new council officially took office on December 10, 2008.
Mayor Dwayne Lindstrom
Elected to the position of Mayor Dwayne Lindstrom has lived in Fraser Lake for 50 years. He and Diana have been married for 32 years and have 2 sons and 1 daughter, who are all very successfulin their careers. Dwayne and his wife Diana are self-employed in the logging industry as well as owner of an apartment building in Fraser Lake. Dwayne enjoys, curling, ice fishing and snowshoeing in the winter months. Summer activities include fishing, hunting, camping, 4-wheeling and yard development. Dwayne has no previous council experience but has a keen interest in promoting tourism in Fraser Lake and area to enhance the economy of Fraser Lake and region.

Councillor Kerry Jantz
Councillor Kerry Jantz has lived in Fraser Lake since the fall of 1977. Kerry and Connie have been married for 38 years and have two children, Scott and Christie. Kerry, born and raised in Vancouver, began his working life as a tire serviceman, trained and worked as a journeyman mechanic and then completed a bachelor of education degree through UBC and BCIT before moving to Fraser Lake to teach industrial education at FLESS. While employed by the school district Kerry also worked in a program development coordination position in the school district office, and for a couple years with the BC Ministry of Education. Returning to FLESS, Kerry completed his public education career as VP and then Principal.
Kerry enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and hiking and likes to travel and work on classic cars and other things mechanical. He has recently trained as a paramedic, working part time with BCAS in Fraser Lake and is excited about the opportunity to serve on council, working for and serving the community of Fraser Lake.

Councillor Don Reyden
Don Reyden has been a resident of Fraser Lake for 38 years, moving to Fraser Lake from the Kootenays in 1965 at the start up of Endako Mine. Don is married to Marilyn and has two adult children, Sharleen and Jason.
Don graduated from Nechako Valley Secondary School in 1968 before attending B.C.I.T. and serving a Millwright apprenticeship at Endako Mines from 1969-1973. Don has lived in Burnaby (1980) and Castlegar (1981)before returning to Fraser Lake in 1982. He was employed at Fraser Lake Sawmills for 8 years, as a Planer Millwright, and has been employed at Thompson Creek Mining as Mine Department Maintenance Planner from 1998 to the present.
